Still 'ere
Been almost nine months since I updated this blog.Got to do better.
YIKES!!!
It's been bloody ages since I updated this bugger.
Several more weddings since the last post.
Was 2nd shooter at these: Stark, Spry — Most of these images I took.
Now it's the downtime of the year — all quiet until April or May.
Not My Finger On The Trigger
Last night's wedding was, albeit a little soggy, quite nice. The lady in white, actually a cream color, was absolutley stunning.
The concept for this image was mine, so was the camera that made the image — just not my finger on the shutter release. Moi, is off to the side aiming a bed-side lamp with a 40 watt bulb at the bride.
She's holding a bottle of the latest Vera Wang smelly stuff for weddings. Hmm! Should I try and flog this image to Vera?
Getting Caught-Up, Again!
Saturday = Wedding = Wet = Blah!
Bugger! Another wet Saturday and I've got a wedding late this afternoon. Oh well, the lady in white won't be getting any outside pictures today.
Last Sunday's wedding was OK — held at a chi chi restaurant in Providence, RI. Right alongside the Providence River (looks like a bloody canal to me). In season they have gondola tours with WaterFire on certain nights. The center of the river is lined with fire baskets, 'cept under overpasses, buildings, etc.
Been working all day on the Maxwell Conservation Trust newsletter. Earlier this week I updated the Silent Chef website to add their Thanksgiving menu. Made me bloody starving!
Just got the Club newsletter to finish now. This is going to be a tricky one — one of the members off'd himself last month on the pistol range. Accident/self-inflicted — haven't heard an official verdict as of this date, but it could go either way.
Not Too Bad After All
Yesterday's wedding was not too bad after all — weatherwise.
Damp and misty at times, but we got the essential images outdoors; even managed to get to the lighthouse.
It's Been A While…
… since I've been here. Not much happening if you don't count a wedding tomorrow with Hurricane Ophelia zipping by off the Cape. Forecasts are not good — windy and wet should be the order of the day for tomorrow.
Interesting, and noisy, afternoon
Two inches of rain in less than 30 minutes at times this afternoon. Continuous thunder for over an hour from a stalled cell just south of here. Lots of buildings struck with mutual aid currently exhausted for Norfolk county at 17:30.
